Strike a Pose

Hi.
So I did a modeling shoot in the beginning of this summer for National University's annual report. Wanna see the results?

Fountainhead

Friday Afternoon. Royal Thai.

An unexpected lunch date with Jeffrey G. Mohr left me super enlightened. He told me about this book by Ayn Rand titled "Fountainhead." Rand is the pioneer of the literary term "Objectivism." It is the second most read book in the world, the Bible is the first.

I am SO reading it.

Words of Wisdom

Nocturnal Wonderland

Another night out, another dance floor.

Does any one else think it's absolutely insane that 50,000 people show up in one place to watch some one play music from an electronic device?
It's phenomenal.
A few decades ago, Rock N' Roll was it. It was rebellious, addicting, comforting, and brought ragers together. In this day and age, it's electro music. Disc Jockeys literally sell out shows around the world.

Convention Center Stairs

New favorite work out... Up and down the stairs as many times as possible! This is the view of the harbor at the top. I felt like a million bucks for the rest of the day. Panting is the key to a successful work out... Like "Wait, stop. Cant. Breathe" panting. Let's see if I could keep this up at least 3 times a week until A.W.O.L. Woop there it is!!

Zoltan Berecz

Friday I hung out with Zoli for the first time in ages!! He lives in OB now with Garrett and Nate. Its right by the beach, perfect getaway spot. We got a beer at the Tilted Steak and caught up on our lives. He wants to move to Slovakia for a little bit after he graduates. Not a bad idea if you ask me...So before I saw him I got a Subway sandwhich with pickles on it.. and he said "What!! How could you eat American pickles! What kind of Slovakian are you?!" Favorite quote of the day: "Babinka! Hot chisteet uhorku!" omg... I was dying.

Hooka Bite

Todd hit me in the face with a hookah. It was an accident. But still, if it scars... Off with his head!

Sunday Funday No. 231

Ahhhh yes, Sunday funday. Let's recap the day shall we? First of all, me and Hayde didn't wake up until 1:45 pm. Correction: I didn't wake up. So we shower, get ready, Kayla drops us off at my place. And we are off to Sushi Deli for some sake to start our day. We had originally planned to go to Intervention to see Steve Aoki spin BUT plans changed when we found out there was a chance we couldn't get in without tickets. So we decided to play it by ear and see where the day takes us. After our 10 minute walk to Sushi Deli, we read the sign saying "Closed." They don't open until 5..Bummer. Luckily it was 4:40. 20 minutes to kill? Easily done when then Yardhouse is 3 blocks away. We decided to get a drink to kill some time. At the door, we are greeted by a guy in a Charger shirt. Seems harmless, blonde, older, graduated from Princeton, so we let him buy us a couple of rounds. John Dailys; sweet tea vodka & lemonade, delicious. Conversation was pretty good, we invited him to Sushi Deli... actually he kind of invited himself. At this point it was me, Hayde, Charger boy, and his friend. Wow I can't even remember their names! That is awful. We proceed to dive into amazing sushi, garlic edemame (sooooo good), and countless bottles of sake. Bill was on them. So sweet :) Next stop: Pasha! We're all buzzed by this point, let the guys tag along, and have a grand old time at ze Pash. Stayed there for about an 45 min, the guys got a couple of pitchers, we met up with Kali and Toddie, and we all walked to Sidebar. Sidebar was POPPINNNNNN!!! So much fun, we danced the next few hours away. I think we left around 10 pm or so? This is where my blackout kicks in. The next part of the story is solely based on texts and phone conversations from this morning because I can't remember any of it. Apparently, me and Jaclyn met up at Pasha (Hayde went to her friends, Kali & Todd went home). Then we went to La Puerta to eat. Since I'm vegetarian now I made sure to tell Manny (GM) that I don't eat "dead carcus" so please give me shrimp tacos instead of chicken. Ay yi yi... After food me and Hayde met up again at my house to get ready for Fluxx, this is where my memory starts to come back. I actually managed to pick out a cute outfit and gather myself to be ready for LMFAO. Party Rock is in the Hooouuuuuse toniiiiiight!! This was by far the cherry on top of Sunday Funday. All of our friends had a table on the dance floor and LMFAO put on SUCH a good show. It was me, Hayde, Alkan, Milad, Jeff, Branden, & some other people. The lights were sick, bottles were poppin, and I was nonstop dancing for the rest of the night. I want to attach a video to show how good they were.

After party rocking the night away, I left around 1:00 am and walked home, smiling. I get home and Nina is on the couch drinking wine.. I join her and asked her where the hell she went after Sidebar. We had a couple of glasses, relaxed, called Tarik over (he brought a bunch of buddha, bless his heart) and watched Entourage as we shmoked. I was DONE at this point. Tarik said I literally fell asleep sitting up. "Cherrie! Cherrie!" He looks over and I have my head in my hand, eyes closed. Finally at 2 am... I crawled into bed and didn't wake up until 1 pm today. It's days like this that I am so grateful for the wonderful people in my life. We work so hard all week... Sunday Fundays are well deserved and make work SO worth it. I heard this on a Sex and the City episode today, it's a good closing statement for this post.
"Let's eat,drink, and be merry!"

P.S. I had to call in sick for work today.

"The Weeknd"

Blog Worthy

For all the beat junkies out there, and every one else who appreciates exquisite baby making music, you are going to LOVE ME right now.

Two words: The Weeknd.

You might recognize him form the chorus of Drake's "Trust Issues." I was introduced when Nina (my lovely roomate) had a friend over and he blasted this at 4 am on a late Friday night. Sold.

His best:
1. What you need
2. The morning
3. High for this
4. Wicked games

He's only 21... WTF.

Show love & Support amazing music. LIKE!!

Starbucks

Like most white collar Americans, I am a religious Starbucks drinker. So I decided to register their rewards card. Besides, loyalty programs are like so in right now. Basically, I get one point for every drink I purchase and after a certain amount of points you start getting rewards. Rewards include free drinks, syrups, goodies, etc. Let's see how much money I really spend at this little crack house!

The Switch.

1. Beach living.

2. City Living.

Both have their pro's and con's. Actually, both only have pro's.
